GAMBARAN PERSEPSI PENGGUNAAN PERLENGKAPAN KESELAMATAN KERJA PADA PETUGAS BALAWISTA
Abstrak
Balawista has the task of overseeing tourists who carry out marine tourism activities. Balawista has important roles to prevent and to rescue tourists from accidents and injuries. Rescue competence that is considered qualified makes Balawista assume that there is no need to use work safety equipment, but the use of equipment is a self-protection effort to prevent accidents to Balawista. The aimed of this study was to explore the perception of safety equipment use among Balawista staffs. This study was a descriptive quantitative study with cross sectional research design. Online data collection was used a questionnaire perceptions of safety equipment use. A total of 122 respodents were involved in this study selected by random sampling technique. The results showed that the average value of the perception of the safety equipment use on Balawista officers was 50,89. The majority of Balawista officers have a perception of the use of safety in the good category (69,7%) and a small proportion are in the sufficient category (30,3%). The conclusion of this study is that most Balawista officers have a good perception of the use of work safety equipment. The results of this study are expected to provide input for Balawista officers to practice on using personal safety equipment properly.
