Growth and Yield of Asystasia gangetica (L.) subsp. Micrantha Fertilized with Fermented Virgin Coconut Oil Waste
Abstrak
This research aimed to know the growth and yield of Asystasia gangetica (L.) subsp. Micrantha fertilized with fermented virgin coconut oil waste. The research was conducted within 8 weeks in the Green House of the Sading Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency. The research using a complete randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and six replications, so that there were 30 experimental units. The treatment given was a dose of fertilizer consisted of D0: 0 l ha-1; D1: 2.500 l ha-1; D2: 5.000 l ha-1; D3: 7.500 l ha- 1dan D4: 10.000 l ha-1. The variables observed include growth variables, yield variables and growth characteristics variables. The results showed that the application of fermented virgin coconut oil waste could increase plant height, number of leaves, leaf dry weight, stem dry weight, total dry weight of forage, ratio of total dry weight to root dry weight and leaf area per pot. Meanwhile, the number of tillers, root dry weight and the ratio of leaf dry weight to stem dry weight showed the same results. It can be concluded that the application of fermented virgin coconut oil waste can increase the growth and yield of A. gangetica (L.) subsp. Micrantha with the best dosage 7.500 l ha-1.
