FEEDING CONCENTRATE BISCUITS CONTAINED Indigofera zollingeriana AND SENGON ON CARCASS COMMERCIAL CUT OF ETAWA CROSSBREED GOAT
Abstrak
This study aims to determine the effect of feed concentrate biscuits containing Indigofera and sengon
to consumption and commercial cut of Etawa crossbreed goat carcasses. This research was conducted at
the Farm Faculty of Animal Husbandry, University of Jambi. The experimental design used in this study
was completely randomized block design (CRBD) with 2 treatments and 10 replications. The total was 20
experimental units. The treatments were as follows: P0: 60% natural grass + 40% basal concentrate (control)
and P1: 60% natural grass + 40% biscuits concentrate. The parameters observed were consumption and
carcass commercial cut. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) SAS software
package. The T test was carried out to see the optimum value of the biscuits concentrate feeding. The results
showed that the treatment of feeding biscuits concentrate had a significant effect (P<0.05) in increasing the
consumption and several commercial cut of the Etawa crossbreed goat carcass. From the results of research
could be concluded that feeding biscuits concentrated containing indigofera and sengon could increase the
consumption and some commercial cut of Etawa crossbreed goat carcass i.e.leg, neck, rack, and breast.
