Bambu, merupakan, material, biomassa, yang, banyak, diteliti, dan diproduksi sebagai salah satu bahan karbon, aktif,.
Bambu banyak diaplikasikan, di, berbagai bidang kehidupan. Seperti digunakan sebagai katalisator permunian air,
pengolahan pupuk, dan penyaringan zat CO2 pada gas buang kendaraan bermotor. Sedangkan banyak di pasarani karbon
aktif bersumber dari batu bara (bituminuous coal) yang bersifat akan habis pada suatu masa dan tidak dapat didaur ulang
kembali. Disini peneliti menggunakan bahan baku bambu swat dan difokuskan pada variasi waktu aktivasi. Penelitian, ini,
difokuskan, untuk mengkarakterisasi dan mengevaluasi potensi, bambu, swat, sebagai, material, dasar, karbon, aktif.
Pengujian, yang, dilakukan, meliputi,uji, proximate, uji ultimate, dan struktur mikro,. Hasil, penelitian, menunjukan bahwa,
bambu swat sudah memenuhi standar nasional indonesia, sedangkan pada uji proximate hanya kadar ash yang tidak
memunhi standar nasional indonesia. Kandungan terbaik fixed carbon terdapat pada aktivasi 80 menit yaitu sebesar
75,02%. Dan kadar ash terbaik terdapat pada aktivasi 40 menit yaitu sebesar 16,68%. Dari hasil uji foto mikro terdapat
perubahan pori-pori di setiap variasi waktu aktivasi. Secara umum bambu swat sangat, berpotensi, digunakan, sebagai,
material, sumber, karbon, aktif,.

Abstract,
Bamboo, is, a, biomass, material, that is widely, researched, and produced, as, one of the active carbon materials. Bamboo is
widely applied in various fields of life. As used as a catalyst for water occupancy, fertilizer processing, and CO2 filtration in
motor vehicle exhaust gases. Whereas many of the active carbon markets are sourced from coal (bituminuous coal) which
will expire at some time and cannot be recycled again. Here the researchers used bamboo swat raw materials and focused on
variations in activation time. This research is focused on characterizing and evaluating the potential of swat bamboo as the
base material for activated carbon. Tests carried out include proximate test, ultimate test, and micro structure. The results
showed that swat bamboo had met Indonesian national standards, whereas the proximate test was only ash which did not
have Indonesian national standards. The best fixed carbon content is found in 80 minutes activation which is equal to
75.02%. And the best ash content is on 40 minutes activation which is equal to 16.68%. From the results of the micro photo
test there are changes in the pores in each variation of activation time. In general, swat bamboo has, the, potential, to, be,
used, as, an, active carbon source material.
