Hubungan Antara Kadar Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) Serum Dengan Visibilitas Vasa Nervorum Nervus Laringeus Rekuren Pada Pasien Yang Menjalani Operasi Tiroid
Abstract
Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara kadar VEGF dan visibilitas vasa nervorum nervus laringeus rekuren. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik observasional dengan desain penelitian potong lintang (cross sectional study) untuk menilai hubungan antara VEGF dengan visibilitas vasa nervorum dari nervus laringeus rekuren pada pasien yang menjalani operasi tiroid. Aktivitas pengumpulan dan pengolahan data berpusat pada Bagian Bedah dari Badan Layanan Umum Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat (RSUP) Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Hasil: Wanita mendominasi para pasien ini dengan perbandingan sekitar 8:2 terhadap pria. Rata-rata umur hampir 50 tahun (SD 13,6 tahun). Mayoritas tindakan pembedahan bersifat total tiroidektomi (71%). Lima orang (36%) pasien terbukti secara histopatologis memiliki kanker. Adapun kadar VEGF pada keempat belas pasien rata-rata 403,1 pg/mL dengan deviasi cukup besar 136,8 pg/mLKadar VEGF serum tampak lebih tinggi pada visibilitas yang lebih baik (mean 326,1 pg/mL pada visibilitas skala 0; 346,8 pg/mL di skala 1; dan 429,8 pg/mL pada skala 2, p=0,546). Simpulan: Kadar VEGF serum dan visibilitas vasa nervorum nervus laringeus rekuren tidak memiliki hubungan bermakna pada penelitian ini. Kadar VEGF serum tampak lebih tinggi pada visibilitas yang lebih baik, namun secara statistik hal ini tidak signifikan.
