ANALISIS PENGARUH BEBAN GEJALA TERHADAP KUALITAS HIDUP ANAK KANKER YANG MENJALANI KEMOTERAPI
Abstract
Anak kanker dapat mengalami berbagai permasalahan baik secara fisik maupun psikologis yang seringkali tidak teridentifikasi dengan baik. Tingginya beban gejala yang dialami oleh anak dapat berisiko menyebabkan anak merasa tertekan dan dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidup anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat besar pengaruh dari beban gejala anak kanker terhadap kualitas hidup anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif korelatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di ruang rawat inap anak RSUP Prof. I.G.N.G Ngoerah Denpasar. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 32 orang yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini meliputi data demografi responden, beban gejala anak kanker yang dinilai menggunakan Memorial Symptom Assessment Scale (MSAS) (7-12) dan kualitas hidup anak yang dinilai menggunakan PedsQL 3.0 Cancer Module. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana didapatkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara beban gejala dengan kualitas hidup anak kanker (p=0,00005; ?=0,05). Hubungan beban gejala dengan kualitas hidup anak kanker menunjukkan hubungan kuat (r=0,685) dan berpola negatif artinya semakin tinggi beban gejala yang dirasakan anak maka semakin rendah kualitas hidup anak. Beban gejala juga ditemukan dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidup anak sebesar 46,9%.
