ACCLIMATIZATION TECHNIQUE OF LAMTORO (Leucaena leucocephala) USING DIFFERENT PLANTING MEDIA AND ROOT GROWING CHARACTERISTIC
Abstrak
The provision of high quality and expeditious lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala) seeds can be done
through in vitro or tissue culture. Acclimatization is the final stage of plant propagation in tissue culture
techniques. This study aims to compare the growth of rooted and non-rooted lamtoro plants and to know the
effect of various composition of planting media on the growth of lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala) plants.
The design used in this study was a factorial completely randomized design 2 × 4. The first factor such as
T1 (rooted) and T2 (rootles). The second factor such us M1 (zeolite), M2 (zeolite, husk charcoal, manure),
M3 (sand, husk charcoal, manure), M4 (soil, sand, husk charcoal, manure). The results were the growth
characteristics of rooted plants with zeolite planting media (T1M1) had the best response to viability, leaf
adaptation, leaf color, increase in plant height, and number of leaves and twigs
