Analysis of Characteristic and Potency of Weed on Sheep Barn Edge, Road Side and Under Leucaena leucocephala Shading Area as Forage
Abstrak
ABSTRACT
This research aims to analyze the characteristic and potency of weed on the edge of sheep barn, roadside and under Leucaena leucocephala shading area as forage. The research was conducted from at UP3 Jonggol. The research method was field exploration to identify weed morphology characteristic and carrying capacity as a potency of animal forage. In each area, the sampling plots were determined based on purposive sampling method with quadrant size 0.50.5 m and 10-20 replicates. Data were analyzed using Summed Dominance Ratio Method, botany composition analysis, Shanon Wiener diversity index and carrying capacity potency. The result showed that plant diversity was quite high as the number of species on 3 areas reached 41 plants Botanical composition analyses resulted pada tutupan lahan yang berbeda didominasi oleh rumput dengan proporsi 62,5%, legum 6,5%, gulma 30,9%. The dominant species dominan was Digitaria sanguinalis (L.) Scop. and Ageratum conyzoides L., followed with Desmodium triflorum Linnaeus, Richardia scabra L., Stachytarpheta jamaicensis (L.) Vahl, Phyllanthus niruri L., Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers., Cyperus rotundus L., Sida rhombifolia, and Fimbristylis dichotoma (L.). The research concluded that the weed on the edge of sheep barn, roadside and under Leucaena leucocephala shading area have potency to utilize as forage.
