Penelitian tentang Pengaruh Variasi Waktu dan Massa Hidrogen Donor Pada Proses Partial hydrogenation
Biodiesel Minyak Jelantah Terhadap Nilai Stabilitas Oksidasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
nilai stabilitas oksidasi biodiesel minyak jelantah yang melalui proses partial hydrogenation. Variabel yang
divariasikan yaitu waktu proses partial hydrogenataion yaitu 60, 90, dan 120 men it dan variasi massa
hidrogen donor yaitu 60, 120 dan 180g. sedangkan variabel yang lainnya konstan mengikuti penelitian
sebelumnya. Dimana massa katalis AL2O3 yang digunakan 5% massa biodiesel, temperatur 80oC, putaran 500
rpm, dan pelarut (aquades) 180g. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai stabilitas oksidasi tanpa
proses partial hydrogenataion yaitu 6 menit dan meningkat dengan proses partial hydrogenation hingga 82,8
menit. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai tertinggi diperoleh pada pencampuran massa hidrogen 180g
dan waktu proses partial hydrogenation 90 menit. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa partial hydrogenation mampu
meningkatkan nilai stabilitas biodiesel minyak jelantah.

Abstract
Research on The Effect Variations Of Donor Hydrogen Mass And Hydrogenation Process Time Of Partial
hydrogenation Used Cooking Oil Biodiesel On Oxidation Stability Values. This research aims to determine
the value of the oxidation stability of waste cooking oil biodiesel through partial hydrogenation process.
Variables that are varied are the partial hydrogenation process time which are 60, 90, and 120 minutes and
the mass variations of the hydrogen donor are 60, 120 and 180g. while the other variables are constant by
following others previous research before. Where the mass of AL 2O3 catalyst used is 5% by mass of biodiesel,
temperatur of 80oC, rotation of 500 rpm, and solvent (Distilled Water) 180g. The results of this research are
indicating the value of oxidation stability without partial hydrogenation process is 6 minutes then the value
of oxidation stability is increasing reach 82,8 minut es by using partial hydrogenation method. This research
shows that the highest value obtained at 180g hydrogen mass mixing and 90 minutes partial hydrogenation
process time. It proves that partial hydrogenation can increase the oxidation stability of waste cooking oil
biodiesel.
