REVISIT INTENTION PADA DESTINASI WISATA: ANALISIS BIBLIOMETRIK DAN REKOMENDASI PENELITIAN DI MASA DEPAN
Abstract
This study aims to analyze trends and research directions related to revisit intention in the context of tourism using a bibliometric approach. The main focus of this research is to identify dominant topics, theme development, and research gaps that are still open for further study. Data were collected from the ScienceDirect database over the period 2020 to 2024, with search criteria focused on scholarly articles that address factors that influence tourists' intention to return to a destination. Data analysis was conducted using VOSviewer software that produces bibliometric visualizations in the form of networks, overlays, and density visualizations to map the relationship between themes and the contribution of each study. The results show that the study of revisit intention is growing and can be classified into five main clusters, namely satisfaction and service quality, destination image and perceived value, emotional attachment and loyalty, travel experience and co-creation, and innovation in modern traveler behavior. The findings provide a comprehensive overview of the intellectual landscape in the field of revisit intention, and help identify new directions for future research. This research is expected to be a useful reference source for academics, researchers, and tourism practitioners in developing strategies to increase tourist loyalty to certain tourist destinations.
