Work Engagement Pada Guru SMA Negeri Dengan Status Rintisan Sekolah Bertaraf Internasional (RSBI)

Abstract

SMA Negeri (SMAN) dengan status Rintisan Sekolah Bertaraf Internasional (RSBI) adalah SMAN yang mendapatkan kesempatan untuk menjadi sekolah percontohan yang bertaraf internasional. Dengan berstatus RSBI, Guru SMAN RSBI memiliki tuntutan pekerjaan (job demand) yang lebih berat jika dibandingkan dengan Guru SMAN lainnya. SMAN RSBI menggunakan kurikulum yang berbeda, akibatnya guru SMAN RSBI dituntut untuk menyusun rencana pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan kurikulum tersebut. Sekolah memberikan dukungan (job-resource) pada guru dalam bentuk pelatihan soft skill untuk menunjang kinerja guru dan memberikan kebebasan untuk guru berinovasi memilih metode pembelajaran yang digunakan. Dengan dukungan ini, diharapkan guru dapat menjawab tantangan tugas dan merasa lebih terikat pada pekerjaannya (work engagement). Dengan work engagement yang tinggi, guru dapat memberikan performa kerja yang optimal dan juga menjadi performa sekolah. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 50 Guru di SMAN X RSBI, dengan menggunakan total sampling atau sampel jenuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian kuantitatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan alat ukur yang diadaptasi dari Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) dengan tipe kuesioner self-administered questionnaire. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa work engagement (M=223.06) pada Guru SMAN X RSBI tergolong kedalam kategori tinggi baik secara umum maupun pada setiap dimensinya. Berdasarkan dimensinya, dedication (M = 80.6) merupakan dimensi yang memiliki skor paling tinggi
