Abstract
The Effect of Land Cover Type on Thermal Comfort Based on Temperature Humidity Index in Dauh Puri Kaja Village, North Denpasar, Bali. Dauh Puri Kaja Village, located in North Denpasar District, Bali, is a village with the highest population density in North Denpasar District. This resulted in Dauh Puri Kaja Village being dominated by built-up areas in the form of settlements with moderate to high building base coefficient and also built-up commercial areas such as shophouses/buildings. This research aims is find out how the influence of land cover types on the level of thermal comfort in Dauh Puri Kaja Village based on the THI (Temperature Humidity Index). The method used in this research is a survey method with quantitative descriptive data. The stages of the research carried out started from the preparation, inventory, analysis, synthesis and recommendation. The results obtained thermal conditions in Dauh Puri Kaja Village were uncomfortable with an average daily THI of 29,7 with the existing land cover in Dauh Puri Kaja Village are 70% pavement, 25% green open space and 5% water bodies. Therefore, to achieve an ideal thermal comfort with a THI limit value of 26, a recommendation is given in the form of adding 21,54 ha of green open space or 20% of the area of Dauh Puri Kaja Village based on the results that have been found from the correlation equation between the level of thermal comfort and land cover using a linear regression equation. The addition of green open space can be in the form of providing environmental parks and regulating the use of yards.
