Journal History
The Kertha Patrika Journal (KP) is the earliest publication to be issued by the Faculty of Law, Udayana University. The Kertha Patrika Journal was initially published solely in print form.
The appellation Kertha Patrika Journal is imbued with the following signification: The term Kertha is derived from the term "Dharma", which is defined as Law; Patrika is defined as Luwih, dahat mawiguna is defined as "good and useful writing". It is evident that, from its inception, the journal has been committed to publishing articles of a high standard of writing and which are of significant practical value in the field of law.
The transition from a Legal Scientific Magazine to a Legal Journal prompted the Journal KP to seek accreditation. For the first time, the KP Journal achieved accreditation during the 2002-2005 period, receiving a C accreditation based on Dikti Decision No. 22/DIKTI/Kep/2002. Most recently, during the 2022-2027 period, the Kertha Patrika Journal received accreditation with a SINTA 3 ranking from the Ministry of Education and Culture in March 2022.
The management of the KP Journal has undergone continuous improvement and refinement throughout its development, with regard to both its publication objectives and its broader publication reach, which has been achieved through the implementation of an online-based journal system. The management of the KP Journal is now fully published online.
KP is a scientific legal journal that publishes original and previously unpublished research results or conceptual scientific articles in the field of law. The review and screening of articles is conducted anonymously by peer reviewers (double-blind review by peer group system). The journal is published thrice yearly, in April, August and December.
