PENGARUH KONSENTRASI GELLING AGENT TERHADAP DIFUSI SEDIAAN GEL VITAMIN C DENGAN METODE SEL DIFUSI FRANZ
Abstrak
Diffusion defined as a process of molecular displacement due to the difference in molecular concentration through a semipermeable membrane. The aim of diffusion test is know effect of the amount of gelling agent on the diffusion of vitamin C. The diffusion test of vitamin C gel preparation was measured by using Franz diffusion cell and the rate was analyzed by iodometric titration. Based on the results obtained that within 5, 10, 20 and 30 minutes, the amount of diffusion of 1% vitamin C gel preparation was 378,5 mg; 108,71 mg; 223.33 mg; 3442,13 mg while for 2% sample was 269 mg; 431.64 mg; 475.07 mg; 574,11 mg and for sample 3% was 543 mg; 594,08 mg; 646,27 mg; and 700,77 mg. Based of this, the release of vitamin C gel preparation is proportional to the time given, the longer time given then the release of vitamin C gel preparation is more increase. The effect of gelling agent on the diffusion of vitamin C gel preparation is the higher the concentration of gelling agent, decreasing the level in the receptor compartment obtained.
