Author Guideline

Ruang-Space accepts articles that satisfy the following criteria:

  1. The manuscript has not yet been submitted or considered for publication (in part or as a whole) to another journal/s.
  2. The submission has been a result of documentation of research activities; proposition of new idea/s theory/ies; depth review of existing theories; implementation of theory
  3. Submission can be made both in Bahasa Indonesia and English
  4. The manuscript is written in accordance with the following structure: abstract; introduction;literature review; method; data, discussion and result; conclusions, references; acknowledgement (optional); conflict of interests (optional); fundings (optional).
  5. The abstract is composed of no more than 200 words. It reveals the content of the article and explains context of the study/problem/idea documented within the article, objective/s, method, and finding/s or result/s of the study. It should be brief, clear, concise, and has to be able to represent the whole article. The abstract is often presented on its own, so please avoid listing both reference/s and uncommon abbreviation/s, unless it/they is/are clearly defined when it/they is/are introduced for the first time.
  6. The introduction describes the research background and context; a brief review of relevant studies that have been carried out by previous researchers; scientific gaps in which research documented in the article is located; and research objectives.
  7. A literature review describes a review of selected literatures that are fundamental in explaining the research phenomenon discussed in the article.
  8. The method describes the overall approach and design as to how the overall study is conducted; study locus, applied methods (collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data), and encountered challenges and/or uniqueness.
  9. Data, discussion, results. This section compiles and analyzes data, which is presented coherently to discuss research problems and attain research objectives. It is founded by a literature review and concluded with results and findings.
  10. It explains how the study contributes to knowledge development, future studies, and societies at large. 
  11. Reference lists sources referred to in the article. An article has a minimum of 30 references, and sixty percent of them are from indexed journal articles. The rest can come from books, seminar proceedings, theses, dissertations, manuscripts, government regulations, and others.
  12. Acknowledgement expresses the author/sā€™ gratitude and appreciations
  13. Conflict of interests ā€“ The article states potential conflicts upon publication
  14. Fundings ā€“ The article informs the source of funding that supports both the conduct of the research documented in the article and fees associated with its publication.
  15. Manuscript is documented in the following format: (i) paper: A4; (ii) margin: left and right is 275mm; (iii) top and down margin is 250mm; (iv) header and footer 127mm; (v) space: multiple in 1,15; (v) length: 6000-8000 words, including abstract, introduction, table, figure, and conclusion.  The number of pages should be even.
  16. Author/s is/are required to submit a high-quality file of each figure/table/photo presented in the article.
  17. Book review submission is also possible using the following format: (i) length: up to 1000 words; (ii) on the day of submission, the book being reviewed has not been published for more than three years (for a book written in Bahasa Indonesia) and five years for a book written in English; (iii) book review submission should be accompanied with a scanned copy of the book cover and its title.
