Game Sebagai Layanan (GAAS) Pada Platform Cloud Gaming Gameqoo

Abstract

Today’s games have entered the next generation gaming phase or the highest generation in the world of gaming. In today’s rapid development of games, it requires users/players to have computers with higher specifications. There is a way for players to run games that have high specifications with computer devices that have low specifications, with cloud gaming technology. There is a cloud gaming server in Indonesia called Gameqoo. To find out the feasibility of a game that is played on a cloud gaming service, it requires parameters that will measure it from the game side and form the user side, namely Quality of Service and Quality of Experience. With the existence of cloud gaming services, the experience of playing games on computers with low specifications becomes light and has pretty good visual quality. This is evidenced by the packet loss value which is 0%, the delay and jitter has value are still in the good category, the use GPU usage is below 5%. The research questionnaire was designed in such a way with an answer scale called the MOS (Mean Opinion Score) to measure Quality of Experience, and an average score on the MOS rating of 4.15 which gets a Good score on the MOS assessment standard.

Author Biographies

Linawati Linawati

Prof. Linawati hold PhD majoring telecommunications engineering from the University of New South Wales,
Sydney, Australia in 2004.
She was an executive director of Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) for nine years, starting
from 2006.
At that time she involved actively developing -learning, m-learning, and distance learning in Udayana
University in collaboration with higher education institutions in Indonesia and in Asia Pacific under the
World Bank support.
She won many research funding and has been published in International Conferences, and Journals.
She chaired international conferences, many workshops, focus group discussions, seminars, and trainings
which involved wide range of professionals with many backgrounds, Below are her responsibilities focusing
in technology for humanity.

Gede Sukadarmika

Dr. Gede Sukadarmika received Bachelor in Telecommunication System Engineering at Sepuluh Nopember
Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya in 1993. Then, the MSc in Networked Information Engineering he
received at Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield, UK in 2000. He was the secretary of The Electrical
Engineering Department in Udayana University From 2004 to 2008. As the head of the Unit of Computer
Center in Udayana University 2009-2015. He is a lecturer in Department of Electrical Engineering in
Udayana University, Bali, Indonesia 1995-now. Research Interest: Learning Technology, Telecommunication
Network and Wireless Network. He is IEEE Member.
