Abstrak

A plate is a structural element that received loads and distribute them to the supporting structure. The loads acting on the plate can be point load, line load, or area load in either static or dynamic. Loads modeling in plate analysis has an important role, considering that each loading conditions results in different plate response. For rigid pavement analysis, it is common to model the loads as influence line, while in reality the applied loads were in forms of point load, line load, or moving area loads. This research focus on dynamic responses of the plate due to moving line loads. Equation of motions are modelled with Dirac delta function and Heaviside step function. Dirac delta function was used to model the moving point load, while Heaviside step function was used for moving line load. The loads were modelled to move suddenly in a range of time. Parametric study result shows that load length affects the dynamic plate response. Other parameters that could affects dynamic plate response such as velocity, soil condition, and plate thickness were studied. Dynamic responses were in forms of deflection and stress.
