PENYULUHAN DAN PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN PREPARAT HAPUSAN DARAH SERTA PEMERIKSAAN MIKROSKOPIS GUNA MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI ANALIS DALAM MENEGAKKAN DIAGNOSIS MALARIA
Abstrak
International tourists can be at risk of becoming infected with malaria in 87 countries around the world, especially in Africa, Asia and America. If left untreated, the disease can cause severe complications and, in some cases, death. Symptoms of malaria appear after 7 days or more. Bali is an area becoming the most popular tourist destination for foreign tourists from various countries. These conditions allow tourists from malaria-endemic areas to visit Bali, or tourists who have traveled to malaria-endemic areas to visit Bali. Bali itself is not a malaria endemic area, so far there have been no casesof indigenousmalaria originating from Bali. The condition of Bali free of malaria causes health workers rarely find cases. Based on this background, it is very importanttoprovidecounseling and training aimed to improve knowledgeand skillsabout Malaria, life cycle, transmission, prevention, treatment, making preparations and Giemsa staining to identify spesies of plasmodium that cause malaria, before and after counseling and training, participants are given questionnaires. The results of this community service showed that total number of training participants was 16 analysts out of a total of 23 analysts in 21 Community Health Centers and 1 UPTD Laboratory in Tabanan district. Based on the analysis of the pre-test and post-test results, it was found that the knowledge and skills of the training participant had increased significantly from 35,6 % into 88,75%
