Profil Suhu, Salinitas dan Total Suspended Solid (TSS) Secara Vertikal di Pelabuhan Benoa, Bali
Abstract
Temperature, Salinity and Total Suspended Solid (TSS) are fisika parameter that determint water quality in the waters. Benoa harbor is one of Port in Bali which has high activity, including: tourisms, sailing, fishing and ship repair including ship painting. Monitoring water quality by some parameter aquatic only on the surface layers. The aim of this study to determine temperature, salinity and Total Suspended Solid in the water of Benoa harbor vertically depend on different water depth. Water samples were taken form 4 different statiun with 3 different water depth (0m, 3m and 5m). Temperature was measured by using thermometer and salinity was measured by using refractometer, while TSS was measured using gravimetric method. Result of this study show that temperature range is between is between 29,20C – 30,30C where the temperature at the surface of the water (0m) is higher than at a depth of 5m. This is different from the results of measuring salinity and TSS, where at a depth of 0m it has a lower than at a depth of 5m. Salinity values ??range from 24 – 32 ppt while TSS ranges from 35 – 85 mg/L. From the three physical parameters above, the water quality in Benoa Harbor is still within the range of water quality standards for ports.
