Cultural studies is an interdisciplinary field that discusses critically the social and political context of various cultural practices in society. The focus is deconstruction of the relationship between various cultural practices and powers that dominate or hegemony in the context of human emancipation and the development of science, technology and art (science and technology) for the welfare of society.
